We help legal charities use tech to improve access to justice
Like every good community Legal Geek has a social purpose. The Law for Good arm of Legal Geek is a not-for-profit which focuses on improving access to justice by enabling legal charities to have access to new technologies.
Lawyers and law firms have very strong probono arms and corporate social responsibility policies (CSR) around donating legal time to charities however we think these charities need technical support, as this can exponentially increase impact. Our program is to allow designers, coders and project managers and entrepreneurs to donate their time.
What do we do
During 2016 we have spoken at over 25 events including Law Centres Network AGM, PilNet Conference Amsterdam.
We help legal charities understand what tech is suitable and appropriate as well as allowing them to access free software and hardware.
We run technology projects for our law for good program supported by the Legal Education Foundation.
