MENTORSHIP FAQs

–     Last updated August 2020     –

This is the FAQ page, the main mentorship page is www.legalgeek.co/mentorship

I have not heard anything about my application?

If you have applied you will be on the list and will be emailed when we do the matches. There might be a delay hearing from us because we only review matches in batches close to the launch of the next cohort.

When will the next cohort start?

Applications for cohort 3 have closed and the programme started in January 2020.  This programme runs for 6 months. To apply to be part of cohort 4 please complete the registration form.

How are mentors and mentees matched?

Mentors and mentees are matched based on their geographic location, professional goals and interests. Mentors and mentees are asked to write a short paragraph of what they want to get out of the programme to help with the matching process.

How often are mentors and mentees expected to meet?

Mentors and mentees are expected to meet at least once a month from Jan – June 2020. Meetings can be done face to face or via Skype/Zoom – we’ve had a number of successful cross-border pairings so we do encourage this if meeting in person isn’t viable

STARTUP MAP FAQS

–     Last updated Jan 2020     –

This is the FAQ page, the main startup map page is www.legalgeek.co/startup-map

How do I report an error on the startup map?

Please complete this form to notify us of an error on the published map. We will do our best to fix errors in a timely manner, but please be patient with us.

How do I get my legal startup on the map?

You will need to be a live law tech startup in Europe. If your startup is missing please complete this form: my startup is missing. Please note the map is a snapshot in time which is only updated periodically.

How many startups are on the map?

There are over 250 LawTech startups listed on the latest startup map. While the map is in BETA we are not providing an exact number while we update the map. Learn how we created the startup map.

Why did you change the design?

The new design uses straight lines which can continue to grow to an infinite length and will allow us to make changes to the map quicker. Our new edition reflects the growth of the start-ups and scaleups we track: it’s bigger, streamlined, and more grown-up. Learn more about the design of the startup map.

When will the startup map cover other areas of the world?

Great question. We are hoping to roll out the map to other areas of the world in the coming months and years.
