As organisations continue to grapple with rapid advances in AI and legal tech, we asked two of our Legal Geek Europe 2026 speakers one question:

What’s the most useful conversation legal teams should be having with their peers right now about navigating AI and legal tech adoption in 2026?

I think the most important question every legal team and law firm should ask themselves before looking for a new tool or AI solution is what problem(s) are we trying to solve. There are lots of legal tech solutions to choose from, and the number is only growing each year, which makes it hard to navigate the market. There’s also often a desire to have a “one-tool-that-solves-everything” solution, which I don’t think really works in reality. This is why it’s essential to start any conversation about AI and legal tech adoption from clarity on (i) why you are looking for these and (i) what outcomes you aim to achieve by adopting this solution in 2026.”

The most useful conversation I can have with peers right now about navigating AI and Legal tech adoption in 2026 is how to leverage law firms adoption of AI tools for our in-house legal teams. I am following every partnership, collaboration, and new features that law firms are using and I want to start a conversation with them on how as clients we can be beneficial to the technology and the use cases they are already developing working with us. This is also true for internal business stakeholders, are they using AI/tech, how, for which purpose, can we discuss and collaborate with them to adopt tools that businesses are already using/testing for our own use cases?”
