SMALL-MEDIUM SIZE LAW FIRMS

Conference | Thursday 6 June 2024 | Shoreditch, London

Legal Geek Growth is a conference for small-medium sized law firms with a growth mindset and interest in legal innovation. We define small – medium as under £30m in revenue, and we’re expecting 1000 lawyers to attend.

We’ve teamed up with The Law Society to give you the tools, inspiration and networking opportunities to drive legal innovation in your practice. You’ll experience short TED-style talks, ask-the-expert sessions, product pitches and interactive roundtables, fuelled by barista coffee and delicious street food.

And the best news is, this year’s event is free for anyone working in a law firm!

A word from the CEO of The Law Society:

Ian Jeffery

“As the CEO of the Law Society, a technology lawyer by background and a former managing partner, I am very much looking forward to attending the Legal Geek Growth Event this year.

It offers an excellent opportunity for growing practices to hear from experts in a range of technology systems, including all forms of AI relevant to modern legal practice. The atmosphere is always relaxed making it easy to network, to ask the questions that matter to you and ensure you finish the day with clear answers and a stronger sense of direction for your practice.

I hope to see you there!”

Peter Ambrose
“You DO Have the Power to Bring Change – If You Have the Right Technology”

Lawyers, especially conveyancers, often say they are powerless to change things for the better. Peter will explain how the right technology empowers lawyers to make that change themselves; in just 6 months, over 750 lawyers from 400 firms are now sharing information through a central platform, saving them time and an awful lot of stress.

Peter Ambrose, Founder, Legalito

Colin Secomb

Explore simple technologies like automation, workflows, and digital signatures and how they can transform your practice today. Discover the key benefits of going paperless and unlock a path to greater efficiency and growth.

Col Secomb, Managin Partner COLP & the Co-Founder of Yao Technology

Alison Berryman
“Procuring AI Products? Look Out for These Red Flags…”

Alison Berryman, Specialist Corporate Technology Lawyer, BizTech Law

Chrissie Wolfe
“Finessing the workforce: how to motivate, engage and inspire Gen Z”

Gen Z has been labelled by some as the lazy, entitled and “snowflake” generation who are difficult to communicate with and manage. With Gen Z currently making up close to 30% of the workforce, and growing year on year, these aren’t challenges you can ignore and hope they go away. In this session, we will focus on understanding the Gen Z mind and what motivates them to perform, how to communicate better in the workplace and what techniques to use to effectively inspire and engage a younger workforce.

Chrissie Wolfe, Founder, Law and Broader

Elizabeth Nolan
“Legal Project Management – All Things to All People!”

In ‘Big Law’ an entire suite of business functions has grown from legal project management covering matter management and service delivery, operations, transformation, innovation and technology (and no doubt more). In the race to add value, how are smaller firms adapting and innovating?

Elizabeth Nolan, Head of Legal Project Management, Sackers

Sally Holdway
“From 20 Minute Conveyancing to 20 seconds – What’s Happened in the Last 12 Months Which Could Change Conveyancing Forever.”

Last year Sally Holdway from the Home Owner’s Passport shared 5 key trends which were emerging in the race to digitise conveyancing. Well it’s been a busy year since then with some pretty groundbreaking changes. So what is the game changing tech which will make lawyers’ life easier and which are the red herrings? And what are new opportunities which have opened up for lawyers. Sally is back again this year to share her insights from the LawTech coalface.

Sally Holdway, Director, Teal Legal

Ruth Cooper-Dickson
“Fostering Team Resilience and Positive Wellbeing at Work”

In this session, we will be diving into a growth mindset, character strengths, psychological safety, and failure! This workshop is designed for you to leave with practical tools to help you grow in your business.

Ruth Cooper-Dickson, Wellbeing & Positive Psychology Expert

Maggie Alphonsi
“Creating a Winning Mindset”

The session will focus on leadership because I believe we are all leaders regardless of the role or work title we embody. We all have the ability to influence and impact others and in this session delegates will explore how to create a winning mindset. How they can be the best version of themselves and how they can get the best out of those around them. The session will inspire and motivate them to take the first step and be a leader others want to follow.
