Singapore – #LGRoadTrip ’18

Second stop done on our 2018 Around the World Tour and we have to say: Singapore you rock! We had 7 startups [listed below] pitch and a very interesting audience. A strong take away was the high level of interest in LawTech from private practice and Government. Huge thank you to our local event partners, FLIP [SAL].

What the judges said:

I was pleasantly surprised at the development maturity of some of the solutions pitched tonight. The startups have clearly been working hard on their ideas and some were able to show working proof of concepts and even commercial-ready products.
Tonight’s event has left me feeling optimistic about the state of legal technology innovation in Singapore and the local talent we have. – Paul Neo, Singapore Academy of Law
There is such incredible talent in the Region – and real opportunities to increase access to justice, make practice more efficient and transform the legal sector. The diversity in the solutions pitched and jurisdictions that could benefit from them, really showcased how Singapore is an excellent platform to incubate Regional and global legal tech innovations.
This event highlights the global nature of the legal tech community – and how lawyers in every country face similar problems. The fact that this event has been able to expand so quickly speaks not only to the commitment of the Legal Geek leaders, but also to the legal industry’s growing recognition that we must collaborate to find new and better ways of doing things. – Rocio Perez, Dentons

I love events like this! It was great to see so many people interacting with each other from Singapore and some startups had travelled from Kuala Lumpur to pitch. The startups all presented fantastically, two of which pitched for the first time. High Fives to Singapore!
