Rawia Ashraf, Vice President, Product
Rawia develops customer-driven legal software that helps attorneys get their jobs done. Previously, Rawia led Thomson Reuters’ Practical Law product strategy, guiding the investment and growth process. Before joining Thomson Reuters, Rawia practiced antitrust law at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett, in both New York and DC. She is a graduate of Cornell Law School and the University of Maryland. Outside of work, Rawia is active with Food Bank for New York City and other nonprofits focusing on women and income inequality.

Zena Applebaum, TR Director Product Marketing
Zena Applebaum is a strategy and intelligence professional, legal industry advisor and personal brand advocate, who is trying to change the business process one design thinking workshop at a time. Zena pioneered the discipline of law firm Competitive Intelligence nearly 20 years ago and authored “Business Intelligence for Law Firms”. Zena shares her passion for the legal and intelligence industries as a speaker, writer and a contributor to blogs including 3 Geeks and a Law Blog. In 2015 Zena was inducted into the Council of CI Fellows, she has been a sessional instructor and a guest lecturer at law schools across North America. Zena is the Senior Director, Product Marketing for Research at Thomson Reuters Prior to joining Thomson Reuters Zena practiced Competitive Intelligence with two of Canada’s largest global law firms.

Brett Colvin Co-Founder and CEO Goodlawyer
Brett was a corporate lawyer turned startup founder who saw first hand most business owners can’t afford the legal expertise they need. So he quit the big firm to work on building something better.

Jerid Dupier, Director, Product Management
Jerid has overall responsibility for the Thomson Reuters 3E product line and directs the product management team for the 3E, Workspace, Always-on Time, Image Connect, and Compliance solutions. He began his career with Thomson Reuters in the Legal Professional Services organization implementing Elite Enterprise and later managed the risk management solutions for Elite Enterprise and 3E.

Beth Fellner, Director, Legal Geek
Beth oversees event content at Legal Geek. Legal Geek runs the largest legal tech conference in Europe, and connects change makers making a positive impact on the legal industry. She has hosted numerous events both online and in-person. Beth has a first-class BA Hons in Classical Studies from the University of Newcastle.

Steve Fullerton, Software Product Manager
Steve has been delivering software solutions and new products to the legal market for almost twenty years, ten with Thomson Reuters, covering legal research, know how, current awareness and document analysis. He has a passion for innovation, integrating content and technologies and using machine learning techniques to advance the tools lawyers use every day.

Kathleen Killin, Legal Platform Use Case Lead
Kathleen holds degrees from the University of Toronto (BA Hons), University of Manchester/Sotheby’s Institute of Art (MA Business), University of London (LLB Hons), and has completed legal studies at the University of Cambridge as a visiting scholar. She also holds an LLM from Osgoode Hall Law School and a second LLM from Osgoode Hall Law School. Kathleen was named a top Artificial Intelligence writer on Medium and featured as a Women of Legal Tech by American Lawyer Magazine, Legal Tech News and CodeX. Kathleen serves on the board of St. Michael’s Hospital – Young Leaders Division and recently led an initiative raising funds for Afghan refugees.

Josh Weinberger, Chief Legal Officer, Goodlawyer
Josh is committed to empowering entrepreneurs with legal knowledge to fuel their business growth. From his experience working at Canada’s largest law firm, Josh understands how legal protections and legal problems can make or break a business. In his role with Goodlawyer, Josh shares his insights and expertise to level the playing field and help founders benefit from the legal strategies large companies use to win. Josh’s unique approach to law stems from his belief in the power of teams and helping those around you.
