You Need To Attend Legal Geek Conference

Five Reasons You Need to Attend Legal Geek Conference 2022

Aaaaand, it’s back! Our annual Legal Geek Conference, the leading legal innovation event, is returning on the 28th – 29th of September—and this time, it’s bigger and better than ever!

Not only have we secured an array of insightful speakers, but the conference is spread across two whole days. Yep, two days! So you can make the most out of learning, workshopping and networking with thousands of like-minded legal pros from around the world.

Sounds good, right? But if you need a little more convincing, we’ve got you covered. Here are five reasons you should attend the Legal Geek Conference in 2022! Let’s go. 🙌

1) We’ve listened to your feedback!

The people spoke. We listened.

For us at Legal Geek, we’re always on the lookout for ways we can improve our events. Our attendees come first, and we regularly ask for feedback to ensure our events always outdo themselves.

“This year, we’ve invested so much more on the production”, says Jimmy Vestbirk, Founder at Legal Geek. “We’re investing a lot more on the acoustics of the venue as well as more seating for people”, he says.

And since COVID, we’ve revisited all of our suppliers so our famous Street Food Market has been revamped. There’ll be twice as many food stalls and barista-style coffee, so you’ll have plenty of choices when it comes to networking over a flat white or a falafel. ☕

2) We’ve secured exciting opening speakers

As always, we’ve got a stellar lineup of speakers for this year’s conference. But there are two speakers we’re particularly excited about—and that’s Mr Vadym Prystaiko, Ukraine’s Ambassador to the UK and Joe Wicks, the Body Coach.

While Vadym Prystaiko will be opening the conference on day one (Wed 28th Sept), Joe Wicks will be taking to the stage on day two (Thurs 29th Sept)—and both speakers reflect our core values at Legal Geek.

There’s no denying how inspirational Ukrainian legal tech companies have been during this time of crisis. Not only have they delivered business as usual, but they’ve also gone above and beyond for their teams. That’s why we’re incredibly honoured to have Mr Prystaiko open the conference, all thanks to our good friends at Radiant Law!

We’re also proud to be championing an array of Ukrainian businesses as they join Startup Alley, a dedicated hub where you can meet the latest legal, sustainability and mental health tech startups. So, make sure you say hi and give high fives! 👋

As well as supporting Ukraine, we’ve always advocated for mental health. “For day two, we were trying to come up with someone who can talk about mental health and its importance”, says Beth Fellner, Director at Legal Geek. “So we thought who better than Joe Wicks!”

Psst! Joe will also be doing a meet and greet, so feel free to grab a photo with him if you were a keen follower of his PEs in lockdown!

3) Talks and workshops on topics you won’t want to miss

What’s a conference without a fantastic lineup of industry experts to offer practical guidance, advice and inspiration? At Legal Geek, we’ve curated a jam-packed itinerary of guided talks and 45-minute interactive workshops on a whole range of topics.

What are these key topics, we hear you ask? Whether you’re more of a listener or want to get involved, you can expect to learn from our stellar lineup of guests on the following:

– Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG)

– Stories on In-House and Law Firm Operations

– How to clean, segment and utilise data

– Practical tips and workshops on Mental Health

– Interactive workshops on Behavioural Science

– Skills and training on how to future-proof your workforce

…and much, much more! 🤩

4) Networking opportunities? They’re dialled up a notch!

Okay, okay. Content, such as talks and workshops, is essential to any event. But here at Legal Geek, we’re all about the networking opportunities—and this year, we’ve taken them a step further!

“Over the past year, Beth and I have been going to a lot of events as research for our Legal Geek Conference”, says Jimmy. “The key takeaway? While the content is super important, it’s crucial to facilitate opportunities for meeting new people. That’s what Legal Geek is all about”

So, we’ve planned some exciting things to happen at our Side Events. These are events that you can join outside of the main conference. From a Graffiti Tour around Brick Lane to a delicious curry evening, our side events will help you connect with other like-minded legal pros, break down those barriers and relax!

Cheers! 🍻

5) Get on your dancing shoes at our famous Closing Party!

If that wasn’t enough, our famous Legal Geek closing party is back! Our friends at Law Rocks sponsor our closing parties, and there’s always something special about seeing legal professionals let loose, have fun and raise money for charities worldwide.

If that wasn’t enough, we’ve also got Nicole Bradwick, Founder at Theory and Principle, to host our karaoke competition—so that as well as rocking out, you can also belt out your favourite tunes in the chance of winning some top-notch prizes.

So, it’s bound to be a night where you can truly let your hair down and party like there’s no tomorrow. We’ve also moved the closing party to Thursday night to reflect our attendee’s working habits.

After all, Thursday is the new Friday! 🕺
