6 reasons you need to attend the Uncertain Decade Summit

In the most uncertain of times, it’s fitting that our Uncertain Decade Summit is back for 2021. Aimed at legal techies in London, Sydney and New York, we’ve added workshops and interactive networking to this year’s event, which will open with Richard Susskind and Mark Cohen in conversation.

Here are six reasons you need to book now…(don’t need convincing sign up free now)

  1. You’re actively involved

Legal Geek events are designed to involve our guests – you can join one of our eight interactive workshops, run by Clifford Chance, Salesforce, Thomson Reuters, DWF, ContractPodAI, Ironclad, StructureFlow, Introhive and Brightflag. You’ll also be able to take part in our virtual networking session by strolling through our online room to find tables where you can introduce yourself. Tables are intimate with four-eight people, so networking can be both targeted and personal. And, to make sure your networking instincts are firing join our ‘Five New Friends Challenge’. If all 5,000 guests can make five new contacts, then the legal industry will be 25,000 connections stronger by the end of the summit. There’s also a Q&A session, where you can put your questions to Richard Susskind and Mark Cohen, by speaking to them live.

  1. It’s only 3.5 hours long

We’ve pared back the online experience to deliver a conference that offers value for every minute of your time. The Uncertain Decade summit will take no longer than 3.5 hours out of your day and is broken into four parts: Richard Susskind and Mark Cohen in conversation; interactive workshops; Q&A; and networking.

  1. This is the new era of online conferences

In 2020, it was year zero for online conferencing. But you have the right to believe in better in 2021 as hundreds of millions of dollars have been invested in this booming technology. Legal Geek is at the sharp end of the sector having moved our flagship Legal Geek conference online in October last year, and having organised the virtual International Bar Association Conference for 14,000 people last year as well. When it comes to online conferencing in 2021, we’re loving the challenge!

  1. We’re coming to your time zone

The Uncertain Decade summit will take place during your working hours. If you’re based in Europe, that means a 3.00pm BST start on Tuesday 27th April; for New Yorkers, it’s a 3.00pm EDT

  1. Learn from the brightest minds in legal

Legal technology gurus Professor Richard Susskind (President of the Society for Computers and Law and author on the future of legal services) and Mark Cohen (CEO of Legal Mosaic and Executive Chairman of the Digital Legal Exchange) will be in the conversation for an hour to open the summit.

  1. It’s free

We hoped to have you at hello, or at least the mention of Susskind and Cohen, but if you’re still undecided, remember that the Uncertain Decade is free to join. For those of you who can’t make it, we have created an on-demand option which you can purchase for £48.

Start on Tuesday 27th April; and if you’re in Sydney, tune in at 9.00am AEST on Wednesday 28th April.

Uncertain Decade is taking place 27-28 April, 2021. Book your tickets here.
